So this event happened long ago.... im a bit behind on all the things happening, but we getting there......
Raga, P and i went up to this one.... the idea.... to get a little more on the pace and try for a placing....
Been driving well i think and only improving everytime i do.. I decide on each round what my goal is to push myself and it seems to be working well.. Improving angle and speed, learning more about the car and so on all help towards a better final placing for next year....
anyway... also got some time to cruise around Kimberly... saw the big hole.... its big.. cool architecture.....
The new course set up was insane... reverse sections with much higher speeds... long sweep and tight left, right up the concrete wall runs.... its like in the movies.. ahahaha... We also went up with 3 times the amount of tyres we normally do which ment enough practice time to really dial in the settings and the driving...... What a difference... got on the pace quick and the tandem practice runs just got closer and closer.... Raga said Otto and i ran up so close his hair stood up on his arm... hahahah.. thats cool then....
The guys from Formula Drift in the states were down and brought out Dai, last years champion.. Was cool to see and meet the guys... boys got skills........
Enough S13s......... haha..... there were 9 in total......
Event as usual was a night one... Qualifying in the late afternoon.. being a circuit facing west... sun issues had me looking for lines up on the wall, just off where i would like to be... want to touch that damn thing man, not run a meter of it.... anyway... We qualified 5th... which wasnt to bad considering the 30 guys////... the first 5 guys ran within 5 points off each other meaning we were all on the pace... good driving...
We ran the first top 16 run well... had an issue in the second run behind as he said please take it easy with him... i took it a bit to easy.... haha, anyway... i put the next run in his door and he fumbled.. slid out and off... i went through...
Next practice out i was insane... perfect run.... and then.. the power steering belt came off....
The contestant or opponent would have been an easy one pushing us up into the top 3.. anyway, this didnt happen... we ran over the 5 minute mark to fix it... being in the dark we couldnt see what was happening... We got a little more time but then the judges once i got back to the line decided to change there minds....
I dont mind losing but i hate it when the unknowns make the difference.... Next time heads up judges... Everyone gets the same 5 minutes... fair is fair....... anyway...

lots still to sort on the car before the CT 10th November one... Team Orange also here on the 17th.... big month for driving.......
On the way back to PE, we did some more drifting and nearly rolled the caddy... Car came loose on the tralior with one of the more scary things i have done or experienced... Front tyre even came of the wheel.. luckily no cars around and luckily we didnt roll...... makes you think.....
