So at some point i actually finished the stuff i needed to on the front end, well enough to get the wiring sorted out at least... Fuel rail at the moment is on and all lines attached... The picture below is still in the stages of mocking up the fuel rail and so on, but i thought it to be a cool enough picture to post up.... Love the brake ducting and so on.. i forget all the little things which have happened...
This month marks 2 years of building on this car, and also the last time i drove and raced it... A simple radiator cap created this scenario but then again i enjoy the creative side of building as much as i do driving... I think if anything i have given into the fact that i dont ever really get to race, regardless of how many cars i may have... I guess its also a time away from my thoughts which is probably a good thing for me most times.....
So wiring... here is the start of it.... Pre wiring if you want to call it that... Asked some friends of mine to help out as i hadnt a clue... The concept was pretty much the same as the rest, simple, light and out the way... "must look like it doesnt run", were the words i actually used....
Here is the before picture....
some mocking up again and again to try find the right routing and so on.. The original loom was ridiculous and heavy, running carbs ment no need for all the additional crap that goes with fuel injection... Simple.... apparently....
Inside... nothing major, just the basics, something goes wrong, easy access... If there are any issues at some point, and there always are, im hoping that having everything in the right place makes the process that less of an issue... Aesthetics not to bad either, might change some items later, but lets get it running already... dont feel like another 2 years worth... We only get so much time to build so many cars in our lives.. need to finish the other projects which have started already....
The last picture....
This is wiring complete... Simple enough i think.... I have some more cosmetic things to sort out like the tappet cover and oil breather, but thats easy enough... Final stages in real time...
Next up on the build is completing the exhaust and then its time to drive it.... Lots of little things as always but the plan is to still do an event this year... Would be great if it happens....
